The microfiber synthetic suede material used for the upper part of the shoe creates comfort, unlike mesh and other types of materials that have memory qualities, the microfiber suede conforms to the wrestler's foot and creates a glove-like fit almost from the first time you put the shoe on. Durability also comes from the build of the shoe which offers double stitching in strenuous areas on the shoe.
