Gold Tone Bob Carlin BC-350 Banjo (Five String, Clear Maple)

At the 2004 ibma show, Bob carline and Wayne met to discuss the possibilities of a signature model 12" Open back banjo. The features requested by Bob were a 12" Pot assembly, scooped ebony fingerboard, specific neck profile dimensions and a nut width of 1-5/16”, a rolled brass tone ring, and a no knot tailpiece. Bob personally made a trip to our Florida factory for the designing where Bob and Wayne discussed every possible specification and tested prototypes. Every detail was fine tuned. Decided features included a 12” Renaissance banjo head, The MOCK dowel stick/coordinator rod configuration, A custom headstock design with ebony overlay and recessed truss rod cover, the GT master Planetary tuners, and the “hot Dog” armrest. In order to complete the project, Gold Tone would invest in all new 12" Tooling to assure perfectly fitted parts. A year later we introduced. . . . The Gold Tone Bob carline signature model BC-350!
